As an intern at La Tranquila Ranch you will be trained by shadowing the event coordinators. On a daily basis you will listen in meetings with potential clients and booked ones that need to finalize details. You will be asked to set up tables with clients desired color palette for visual and connect clients with recommended caterers. After familiarizing yourself with La Tranquilas prices and facilities you will also give tours of the venue.
Requirements and Qualifications for the position:
Bachelors Degree in event planning and or hospitality/ in pursuit of degree

As a intern you are unpaid but if hired after with an entry level position and a 30 hour work week you are paid $13/ hour. During my time at La Tranquila Ranch I have learned the inside workings of a successful venue. Mainly I have strengthen my skills communicating with clients. Taking them step by step coordinating their event at our venue. I also have been exposed to how this business handles their financial books and records. Personally taking care of energy bills and organizing payments from clients. I also achieved setting up new accounts on wedding platforms to help promote the venue. My experience here has been very well rounded.
